I've been included in taxations for lengthier then I care to admit, both on the private side (all my working life story!!) and from a legal point of view since satisfying the bar and pursuing tax law. I've put up a lot of advice and rectified a lot of wrongs, and I must say that what you've put up makes impeccable sense. Please uphold the good work - the more individuals know the better they'll be outfitted to cope with the tax man, and that's what it's all about.

Greetings from Michigan, the state which has had a full preemption shield law since 1995.

We'll see what happens with Levine, but the drug and device contexts are very different as are the laws under which they are regulated. So I think we can anticipate a narrower ruling in Levine than Riegel.

Yup! Scott you are at the right point. And that may come as no surprise to the people, who paid close attention to Roberts' career before his elevation to the high court, but the picture is at odds with the non-ideological face that he presented after his nomination.

Trying to use ISP's as copyright enforcement goons will go over as well as suing seven year olds and their grandmothers. Maybe if they tried to sue the Adware and Spyware companies out of existence for supporting peer to peer client software then they would have gotten somewhere but then suing Adware and Spyware companies would have made the RIAA look good and they probably wouldn't have wanted that.

You post is a nice summary. It has been my experience that the members typically have personal guaranties or other credit enhancers with the company's creditors so whether they leave the LLC or not is not the main concern but trying to minimizing their personal exposure is.
